Grade 10 - General Information and Student Responsibility Timeline

  • Get off to a good start! Continue to challenge yourself academically and get the best grades possible. For more information on study skills, visit the link to the left.
  • PSAT Consider registering for the PSAT, offered at North on Saturday, October 11, 2025.  Click here for detailed instructions for signing up and taking the PSAT.
  • Continue to participate in activities that interest you in school or outside of school. Attend the Activities Fair held in the cafeteria lobby during lunch in early September. Sign up for a new club or take a more active leadership role in your selected activities.  Click here to link to the CR North Co-Curricular directory.
  • National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) If you are considering competing at the college level in a Division I or Division II sport, please let your counselor know. Visit here for information on the NCAA Clearinghouse.
  • Learning In Neighborhood Community Service (LINCS) Keep working on your LINCS hours. Although LINCS hours are not a requirement for graduation, 60 hours are required if you would like your service documented on your official transcript. LINCS hours may also be required for various honor societies. Click here to visit the LINCS website to learn about opportunities to help out in our community and for more general information.
  • Complete required Career Assessment The Pennsylvania Department of Education requires that every student completes career competencies throughout high school.  In tenth grade, students are reintroduced to Naviance, our college and career program, and directed to complete two career interest inventories and complete a brief career survey. The counseling team will provide all needed instruction directly to all sophomores via Canvas in early winter.
  • Need Academic Support? 
    • Teacher Clinic is routinely available Tuesdays and Thursdays after school, students can make an appointment with their teachers to receive help. 
    • Peer Tutoring National Honor Society (NHS) members are available for peer tutoring. Click here to access the NHS website for details. 
  • College Representatives Visits Sophomores are invited to attend college representative visits that are scheduled in the counseling office from mid-September through Thanksgiving. Visit the Naviance website via your CR Google waffle to view the schedule, sign up and use the pass on your phone to come to the meeting. 
  • Course Selection Counselors will schedule to meet with all 10th graders in February for course selection to choose classes for the next school year.
  • College Panel Attend the Council Rock College Panel on March 12, 2026 at 6 PM hosted by CR South.
