The official guidelines for all competitive events are found in the Pennsylvania FBLA Policy/Leadership Handbook published on the PA FBLA website. If there is a discrepancy between the information found below and the information in the Handbook, the information in the Handbook is to be considered the "official" set of guidelines.

Dear CR North FBLA Members: HOT! HOT! HOT!
As I was creating resources to share with you regarding competitive events, I came across something very new on the National FBLA Online Competitive Events Reference Guide. Last Fall I found a detailed set of“Performance Indicators” for many of the competitive events. While these may have changed since then, I would encourage you to review these lists carefully because it provides much more detail on what may be on a particular test.
The complete list of information is at this address. I would recommend that you investigate this area in greater detail.

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
PURPOSE
...provide, as an integral part of the instruction program, opportunities for students ot develop vocational and career competencies and to promote civic and personal responsibilities.
GOALS
The following are the nine goals of the FBLA-PBL organization:
· Develop competent, aggressive business leadership
· Strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and their work
· Create more interest in and understanding of American business enterprise
· Encourage members in the development of individual projects which contribute to the improvement of home, business, and community
· Develop character, prepare for useful citizenship, and foster patriotism
· Encourage and practice efficient money management
· Encourage scholarship and promote school loyalty
· Assist students in the establishment of occupational goals
· Facilitate the transition from school to higher education and work
