 Council Rock High School North Chapter 

The National Business Honor Society (NBHS) is an academic honor society that helps to recognize business students at the high school level. NBHS recognizes outstanding scholarship, character, leadership, and service of students who are interested in pursuing a career in business.  The Council Rock High School North Chapter was formed in the Spring of 2022.

Students that have met induction requirements are honored at the semi-annual induction ceremony in October and May of their senior year.  Membership and induction in NBHS is a prestigious honor and is an appealing addition to your college applications.

The National Business Honor Society is an official division of the National Business Education Association (NBEA).  Requirements are determined by NBEA and are enforced by local chapters.

The object and purposes of the National Business Honor Society, Council Rock High School North Chapter, are to:

  • promote and recognize academic achievement in business education at Council Rock High School North;
  • confer distinction for high achievement,
  • foster and recognize leadership skills and character development;
  • help members grow ethically and socially by promoting and encouraging an interest in business;
  • showcase member talents, and
  • encourage member involvement in service-learning initiatives.

MEMBERSHIP

To qualify for active membership, a student must be a high school junior or senior. The student must have completed or be currently enrolled in his/her third business course. The student must have a minimum standard GPA, on a 4.0 scale, as follows: business courses average-3.5; overall average-3.0. Selection for membership is based on outstanding scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Members are expected to continue to demonstrate these qualities throughout their membership in the society.

Your application will be reviewed by the Council Rock High School North NBHS Chapter Selection Committee.  You will be notified of acceptance status via email. Be sure to read each question carefully and answer thoroughly! Your answers will, in part, determine your acceptance.

  • Nov-Dec 2022                        Faculty Committee Review
  • December, 2023                    Notifications of Acceptance to NBHS
  • December 7                           Induction Ceremony at 6:30 pm (must attend)
  • December 23                         Last day to pay $20 membership dues
